Q: Is the Infinity G35 coupe and the Nissan Altima coupe almost the same car?
I like the G35 but i noticed how much it looks like an Altima coupe. Is Infinity and Nissan part of the same company? Or is it a coincidence? And if they use the same base chassis and such, what are the differences?
A: Same company, same engine (albeit with much-different tuning), wholly-different platform. (Nissan’s front-drive D platform underpins the Altima, the Maxima and the Murano; Infiniti’s G is on the rear-drive FM platform, as is the 350/370Z.)
Still, I can’t blame Nissan for designing a $30k car that looks like a dead ringer for their $40k car, even if they’re otherwise almost nothing alike.

Anyways, I have a 2005 altima and I’m pretty sure its the same. You know where your A/C control knobs are. Put your hand under it and then pull. That big plastic part should come off and you should see your A/C controls naked. You’ll see (4) screws, unscrew them then the top should come off( the hole where a navigation would go.)
And wuala, easily unplug all the wires and other stuff connecting your factory radio and thats it.
Remember mines a 2005 but Im almost 100% that its the same dash panel.

A: Can’t say exactly, but it will be high. The good part about it though is that Nissan Altimas tend to last a long time and have a higher resale value than most cars. It may be worth paying the extra in interest to build your credit up, but that means you have to make EVERY payment ON TIME. Find out if you can afford this before getting the loan. Car loans tend to be 3-5 years. THREE TO FIVE YEARS!!! A lot can happen in that amount of time. Be careful, read everything that they want you to sign before you sign it and make sure what they’re telling you is actually on the contract. Another good thing is that 2 years or so into making every payment on time, you should be able to refinance your car loan at a cheaper interest rate, because your credit will be better, making your car payments cheaper. Factor in the cost of full coverage insurance too when you’re figuring out if you can afford it. Good luck. Hope it works out for you.

A: Be very careful there are rebuilt totaled cars out there there are scammers too. Buying a two year old car off of lease or rential fleet? You could just buck up and buy a new car with the exact options you want.

A: the last one that i repaired was due to a failed window regulator. 75 dollars for the part and then my price. the missing button could be the whole problem though.

A: Used door from a crashed 2007 or 2008 and swap out your trim plus painting and body repair. You better get professional estimates and involve your insurance company if necessary the total will be above your deductible. That is what we have collision coverage on our new cars for. It is hard enough to buy gas and make monthly payments. Much less spend $1,500 to 2,500 to replace a door. Vary rarely the door is the only thing damaged hinge points and striker has to be aligned correctly.

A: its stock with 16’s so if you want to matain the ride comfortability, then i wouldnt get any bigger than a 18′
the suspension was not designed to handel any bigger than that. but if you looking to pimp it your ride then , up-grade your suspension “cut the wheel wells and bag” it with some 20’s. but your best bet it to get 17’s my opinion.

A: as long as you corrected the problem, this is the home mechanics way of clearing most nissan trouble codes. i had a 98 altima and did this many times.
one the floor on the driverside by the pedals, kinda behind the radio. you will see a black trim piece covering the ecu. take that panel down. you will see a what looks like a flat head screw in the ecu. turn it clockwise till it stops, wait 2 seconds, then turn back counterclockwise. start the car. the light will be off, as long as all problems were corrected.

A: It’s going to depend on whether or not there are actual ignition harness wires coming off the back of the push button start or if they are data wires. Regardless, you will need immobilizer bypass modules for either scenario. So, yes it is possible, and yes it will cost more due to extra parts.

A: A cold air intake is an easy way to gain a few extra horsepower. They are not that bad to install either. Better plugs and wires will also get you a few extra ponies. Cross drilled and slotted rotors, with some ceramic fiber pads will help with the braking ( Plus the rotors look cool ). There are lots of other things you can do, just depends on your mechanical ability.
