Ok so in a few weeks i get my license in florida, and I’m getting a car. So i have the choice of a Mini Cooper S or a Land Rover LR2 and I don’t know if i want a fast sports car or an SUV. Please help with your thoughts.

A: Go with the mini. They aren’t super fast, and will be a good “learner” car. They are also very stylish, and are quick enough. They are designed by bmw, so you know the quality is top notch. Land Rovers are a waste of money. There are many better suvs out there.

Q: What is the Mini Cooper’s breaks and pedals like?
I really want to buy a mini cooper, but I hate driving one of those luxury cars where the breaks and pedals are really soft.

I rather much prefer the opposite, such as the tacoma truck that i have now.

A: Since the MINI Cooper (and Cooper S) are engineered by BMW, you can believe they don’t have soft brakes!
I’ve driven the new Cooper S on test tracks at over 130mph–no softie there! I also took one from Barcelona to Andorra through the serpentine curves of the Pyrenees Mountains. Talk about a car in its element! Take one for a test drive. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Q: where can i find a new muffler for my 2003 mini cooper?
I have a mini cooper 2003 and my muffler is rusted out.. And i need to replace it but i am having a hard time finding a replacement muffler within a good price. If any one knows where i can find one please tell.. thank you for your help.

A: pending on where you are there are several options. Get a oem from the dealer at a over priced cost. Or go with a after market say:Borla, Millitec, Alta to name a few of the top ones. if you go to www.northamericanmotoring.com and look under vendor announcments there are many vendors selling mufflers/exhaust systems which can improve the motoring experience. Also there may be a local mini club in your area and you could check out what others are doing. an easy DIY as long as you have jack stands and a few tools. ive got a mini cooper on an 05 plate, with a john cooper works bodykit on it, and at the front it has 4 spotlights, i need to replace one but it costs 85 quid from the bmw garage….does anyone now where i can get it at a cheaper price?

A: those are usually scams, i see them all the time on craigslist. they advertise BMW’s, Mercedes, and so on for free and all you do is pay for gas because they have ad’s on them

A: I’ve just decorated my son’s bedroom with Mini Coopers – found a wallpaper with them on called “Italian Job” at B&Q warehouse.
The only place I could get nice Mini Cooper bedding and curtains to co-ordinate was Next. I did lots of research. You may have more luck, but I certainly drew a blank everywhere else.
