Q: which car to buy: Kia Forte Hatchback or Hyundai Elantra Touring?
I am a recent graduate with a low budget, but want a good car that is fun to drive and have settled on these two choices: a Kia Forte Hatchback or a Hyundai Elantra Touring. There isn’t much info out there describing which is better, and even when comparing side by side, it is difficult to tell. So I was hoping for some excellent yahoo questions advice. Which car is better and why? If you can support your reasoning with sound facts, that would be the best! Thanks for your help!

Kia and Hyundai cars you mention are mechanically cousins. No real difference between the cars unless cup holders interest you. I would opt for the new design of the Forte. The engine has a timing chain on the cams as opposed to the older belt design in the Hyundai. The Forte will be much more reliable

Currently looking at a car to lease and I want to know which one is better. The Forte is less expensive, but is the quality the same?
A: The Kia Forte performed better than the Hyundai Elantra in a comparison test of an automotive magazine. It says that the Kia has better steering feel and better shaped seats.
Generally, Kias are significantly improving and the build quality may seem slightly cheap, but I reckon that they will stand the test of time.

i like it but $16-18k for a kia is too much for me, about how many miles or years should i wait for till its about$10-12k ish i know they depreate alot after driving them off the lot.

When towing anything, you should not exceed the lowest rated component of the tow set up whether that is the hitch, the vehicle, the drawbar or hitch ball.

i have a 2010 kia forte koupe sx. its the top model you can get and it looks awesome, its copper (: my friend has an oldish (im not sure what year) hyundai tiburon in black. we were talking one day and of course he thinks his is better while i think mine is better. i just wanted to know which one really is.
A: well they are both korean…and im not too much a fan of korean automobiles. Its not really a question of better. They are both nice rides. They are both stylish (and the forte is sexy), kinda hard to say… I say the Koupe gets my vote based on apperance

A: If you put a turbo on it, you can kiss your warranty goodbye. An exhaust probably won’t effect the warranty, though I doubt it would sound very good. An intake can go either way. If something like the MAF sensor went bad, your warranty claim would be denied. And if you touch the ECU, your warranty goes away as well.

A: Yes, it is a solid compact car.
The only downside of the Forte is the resale value is horrible, but if you are going to keep it forever, then that doesn’t matter.
It’s less expensive than its competitors and it has a great warranty.
Do yourself a favor, though, and also check out the Forte’s brother, the Hyundai Elantra.
For about the same money, it is slightly more favorable per independent publications.

A: If you think that it is going to corner like it is on rails or pull 1.0 g on the skid pad it won’t. It will do fine, for an econobox. A live rear axle is mainly on high end sports cars.
