Q: Is there a way to split the audio video signal of a built in system in a Honda Odyssey?
I have a 2004 Honda Odyssey with a built in entertainment system. I would like to capture the video signal and split it out to two additional monitors in the rear. I would like to use the built in DVD player to display the video on all three screens. There is a game input jack, but no output that I know of. Has anyone accomplished this? Thanks
A: Try Leawo DVD Creator! It can burn videos to dvd with menu easily and quickly. You can find Leawo Free DVD Creator here:

Q: how to adjust light bulbs on a 2001 honda odyssey?
i changed the light bulbs, but they are a bit off. 1 side is facing down, and the other is facing a bit up. how to adjust light bulbs on a 2001 honda odyssey?
A: there would be a little screw with a adjuster somewhere with a little wheel thing ( can’t really describe it lol ) behind the headlight fixture.. Use that with a scew driver i believe a phillips or allen wrench I’m not too sure on Odysseys. And either turn it left or right pending on aiming location
Q: Hi, I have an 2000 Honda Odyssey and i cant take out my CDs from my CD Changer. How can i take it out?
2000 Honda Odyssey Prestige V6, it has Japanese GPS System, The CD Changer is underneath the driver’s seat (some odyssey’s changer is at the trunk or dash board)
A: Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. This will reset the changer. If this doesn’t work, and your fuses are good, then the changer is bad.
Q: Can I switch through the gears in my Honda Odyssey manually?
I have a 2001 Honda odyssey with an automatic transmission and I see that it has D4, D3, 2 and 1 gears, what i want to know is if i could treat it like a manual transmission and start with gear 1 and switch all the way to D4 and not harm the engine?
A: You could. The major difference between manual and automatic is that with manual transmission, the torque is transmitted through pads (similar to brake pads). With automatic transmissions, the energy transfer is through the transmission fluid (like two fans facing one another). You could manually go from one “gear” to another with an automatic transmission. But there is no point to it.
You can manually fix the car to one gear for braking or climbing purposes. Say you are going down a very high mountain. You don’t want to wear out the brakes so you set the car in 3rd gear. This means that your car would most likely not exceed 45 mph, the potential energy of your car is converted to heat instead of kinetic energy (car going faster). The heat is then dissipated through your radiator.
Same with climbing. Say your car is struggling to get up a mountain or hill. You can spare your engine, avoid the risk of cracking a cylinder, by going to a lower gear and reving the engine at a high RPM. Your engine turns faster but there is less strain on the engine. (Similar to bicycles. When climbing a hill, you switch to a lower gear. Your feet go round and round faster but it is easier. You climb slower but it is overall easier).
Q: i want to buy a 2001 honda odyssey it has 135,000 miles how dependable are they?
i’m thinking of buying a 2001 honda odyssey, with 135,000 miles. is it dependable or should i buy something else and how long would it last? what kind of problems would it give me? what would you recomend?
A: Depends on the maintenance that was done. Check the car fax and see when the timing belt was replaced.
Q: How to make 2004 Honda Odyssey seats more comfortable?
My husband just bought a used 2004 Honda Odyssey, but the cloth seats are so uncomfortable for me. Can I put covers on the seats to make them more comfortable or put in different seats? Where would I get the covers and seats from? Thanks
A: Buy a leather seat cover.
Q: How do I fix the radio on Honda Odyssey(tried the code)?
The battery died on our 2002 Honda Odyssey and after we fixed it, we got the code to start up the radio again, but it didn’t work. It has no Error message. We took the battery cables off and tried again, but still no message. The CD player works and the Tape player works, but none of the buttons work, except “eject”. Is there a way to fix it or do I need to replace it? Any cheap suggestions?
A: There are 2 fuses for the radio, it sounds as if one is blown.
Q: Where can I find a rebuild diagram for a 2000 Honda Odyssey?
I am trying to rebuild a transmission for a 2000 Honda odyssey? Where would I find a diagram on how to rebuild it? Thanks alot…
A: the only place you can get instructions on the rebuild for the odyssey transmission is from the service manual. the service manual can be ordered from
http://www.helminc.com
they are the online distributor for Honda service publications.
just be forewarned–the success rate in rebuilding these transmissions is very low. honda had a problem with the V-6 transmissions in 1999-2000 and had an extended warranty on them where they would replace them with a honda remanufactured transmission up to 7 years and 107,000 miles from the original service date. that warranty extension is over now as all cars are over 7 years old. honda has a contract with a rebuilder because of the success in rebuilding transmission in the dealership was forecast to be very low.
hope that helps
Q: why is MPG on my honda odyssey 2001 so low?
I have honda odyssey 2001 with 120 000 miles. It drives only
16 miles per gallon mix city and highway. I’m not aggressive driver. Is that normal and what can I do to improve fuel economy.
A: if your engine is going through that much fuel, a lot of it will be coming out the exhaust. start with a tune up, air filter fuel filter plugs and if warrented plug wires, if that don’t help, take it somewhere and have it put on an engine analyzer, see what is giving you problems. i hope this helps

Q: How fix flat spare tire honda odyssey?
The spare on my 2000 Honda Odyssey van is flat. I have taken it to a couple of tire shops and they say they don’t repair the hole in these tiny spares. Do you know how I could do it or find a replacement litte spare tire that fits in the tire space? Their suggestion is to find one in a junk yars, which may work but I am looking for other ideas?
A: The salvage yard is the best bet.Go to one where you can take parts off yourself and see if they have any Odessey’s.Should be pretty cheap.
Q: How Many Honda Odyssey Minivans Were Sold In 2008? How Much Did Honda Gross From Odyssey Sales?

A: They sold around 101,258 odysseys.
Q: 2003 Honda Odyssey Synthetic oil or Conventional?
We are the 2nd owners of a 2003 Honda Odyssey and need to change the oil. We do not know what type or brand of oil has been used in the van previously. We bought the honda filter from the dealer and we know it needs 5W-20 but I keep getting conflicting information. The dealership said use conventional oil but I am told synthetic is better for the life of the engine.
We plan to change our own oil.
Just concerned about what oil to put back in it since we don’t know what’s been run through it.
A: I have no clue where the person above gets oil changed but new car dealers in Up State NY will change your oil for less than $24.00. I’ll also take issue with the totally untrue statement that you can’t ever change back from full synthetic to regular motor oil. In a small high temperature gasoline engine full synthetic 5W-20 motor oil will allow the engine to spin over faster on cold Winter mornings. A greater volume of oil reaches critical engine parts faster. More volume of oil cools frictional surfaces more efficiently.
To preserve my new car warranty I lug in my own Mobil1 and let the Toyota dealer change it for $22.00. As soon as 60,000 miles rolls around yours truly will be changing the oil in this car. Actually what I just said can be misleading. Any one can change their own oil even on a new car. The trick is proving with dated receipts for the oil and filter every time you do it! This is necessary should you ever have an engine issue.
Q: Maintenance instructions to replace 2000 Honda Odyssey cabin air conditioning filter?
Can anyone provide instructions or lead me to an internet site that describes how to replace a 2000 Honda Odyssey cabin air conditioning filter?
I can’t thank all of you enough for your help. As you can see from the answer that I selected as the best, there are a few intricacies that would escape an amateur like me. The pictures were great!!!!
A: Most cars take in fresh air through vents or openings that are usually located under the hood at the rear of the compartment near where the windshield wipers are. It’s the place where every leaf in the county gets stuck in the fall…can’t miss it. There should be a cover over the filter that unscrews or snaps out to gain access the filter element. This information should be in your vehicle operators manual also. If you don’t have the manual, go to the parts store and tell them what you need and they might be able to pull up a diagram. If all else fails, head to the Honda dealer service department, ask them to pull up the diagram and have them print it off for you. Good luck
