A: Yeah it’s risky here, but you can get up to 1100 hp. That is the outer limit, with 1000 to 1085 being more common, and I think we’re talking engine or flywheel HP, not as dynoed RWHP. I asked some guys who race.

A: You have to play a balancing act with horse power and how long you want your engine to last. If you have all the money in the world do everything and go to the track. Then replace it all again. If you want it to last i would try a performance cam next.

hi, i have a 2005 dodge viper black mamba edition…. undercarrige of whole driver side door , with muffler, steering wheel seat is gone… front bumper is cracked, spline, and interior of driver side…plus smaller pieces like lights, and stuff… the passenger, and rear of car is completely intact, and the engine and motor is fine…oh, and the chasis is bent…can anyone give me a rough esimate…btw if u want to know, i hit a pole directly on the driver side.
A: from what you just described about 8-10 grand to get it repaired back and painted ,that must have been a real hard pole,but parts for those cars are expensive,at the very least you,ll get by with it around 10 k probably,id let the insurance deal with this one,good luck.

Putting neon lights isnt a big deal because they can come right off but the door is a little bit more difficult than that, Is it going to lower or raise the value of the car if I put the doors and lights in it? The lights will be red just like the car.

A: Attracting girls has a lot less to do with the car than you. Cars attract different types and you asked about 2 completely different types an they will have their own following. Be warned a Viper in town traffic drives like a log-truck with that big engine and nowhere no go-personal experience. A better alternative might be the upcoming Challenger SRT which will clean the old snakes clock in virtually every category.

A: Ill continue to search for info, but Ive heard many rumours about this car since I work at a Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge car dealership. All i know for now is that the ZB refers to the coupe version and not the convertible
EDIT: I have asked a mechanic that works at the dealership where I work (hes been there for 30 something years) and he said that it was just a trim level as they do not badge it SRT-10 anymore. He suggested it might be the initials of a designer, or someone highly placed in the Dodge hierchy

A: - His parents for getting a 17 year old a sports car. Nick also wrecked a Viper in the past too. Its not his first wreck in a car he has no business driving.

Q: Two part question regarding Dodge Viper?
I saw a video you Youtube, in which a stock Dodge Viper outran a fighter jet on a 1/4 mile test track (both the Viper and the jet took off from the starting line at the same time). I don’t know a lot about cars but that seems pretty impressive to me.
A new Viper costs approximately $80,000. Are there any stock production cars that are faster than the Viper at around the same (or lower) price range? I’m talking straight off the showroom floor, not something that has been modified with nitrous, etc.
And could a sport motorcycle such as a Hayabusa outrun a Viper? I didn’t think a car could outrun a cycle, but after seeing the Viper outrun a fighter jet, maybe it’s possible?
A: Those test track things are pretty impressive to watch,
but it just takes longer for a fighterjet to get up to speed than it does a viper.
The viper has a v-10 engine, which is not available in most sports cars….

A stock Hayabusa has a governor that does not permit it to go over 186 MPH. We had a customer who traded a stock viper who insisted that he had gotten over that,
but he was a bit of a BSer….
Q: Is it possible to put a dodge viper engine into a 1988 Pontiac Fiero?
A: No, unless you got some serious time and money. But this is roughly what would be happening:
I was trying to find a cool Viper swap for a summer/winter project. With the fiero being a mid engine car, and Viper originally being a front engine, RWD car, the problem would be massive. For this to work, you would need to first, get a Viper engine, tranny, rear axle, differential, and a lot more money, (this is because mid engine cars have different engine/transmission setups than other cars). After you’ve accumulated these things, you would need to take the fiero off the chassis, and get ready for some big time overhauling. You would need to modify the front of the fiero chassis, to hold the much, much larger viper engine and goodies, such as the radiator, intakes… This is probably impossible, but I’ll continue anyways! You would have to custom fabricate the chassis to hold the massive Viper engine, and keep it strong enough to support all the horsepower and torque. You would then need to use your imagination, and modify the chassis to accomodate the transmission running through the middle of the car, and not have it interfere with your stock interior. Then you could take the viper rear axle, and find some way to attach it to the fiero chassis, while strengthening it even more. I’m not sure how that would even work, or how you’d have it done. But I do know, you couldn’t place the viper engine in the mid engine compartment, it just wouldn’t fit. You’d be better off building a custom tube frame, and flopping that gigantic engine into that.
I’ve left out about fifty pages of information that would typically be used in a project like this, so I think the message is clear, it COULD be done, but for the price, time, and headaches involved, you could go by a Viper for a daily driver, and another for the weekends.
