Q: What do you think of the new Dodge Challenger?
My husband and I are planning on buying one in the next year or so… and I just want to know what you think of it?
And which one would you think would be best? the SE? R/T? or the SRT8?

When driving a 2008-2010 automatic transmission dodge challenger does it still make noise?
(i want it to make noise even without a stick shift)

A: They both sound good running (R/T and STR) with both the 6 speed and the automatics.
At idle, like parked and running, the automatic R/T will sound a little different, as it is running on 4 cylinders at idle, not all 8. The Automatic R/T has a little less volume and rumble that the 6 speed at idle, but still sounds O-K .
Dodgeman may correct me if wrong, but there is no difference in the exhaust between the automatic and the manual 6’s (within each model). So when pulling with all 8, both will sound identical.
Q: Where can I find a Dodge Challenger?
I really want one and its difficult to find one.
I would like a Black SE.
I have searched online, but I don’t get many results.
Dealers in my area do not have them in stock.
I live in CA.

A: Have you considered ebay? right now challengers are still new and dealers have them way above retail price. if I were you i would wait a year and get an R/T at the same price the SE’s are going now.
Q: What does the R/T stand for on a 1971 dodge challenger?
I was watching Vanishing Point and saw that R/T on the front of the car. I have always wondered what it stood for.
A: It stands for Road and Track like the others said.
Q: how to remove dashboards from a 1974 Dodge Challenger?
I’m having difficulty removing the last three screws. I don’t want to break the dash board to remove it.
A: If you are talking about the entire dashboard (not the instrument panel) you may find you need to remove the windshield

Q: Dodge Challenger safe in rain and snow?
I am looking into the new dodge challengers as a car to buy. I am aware that they are rear wheel drive vehicles and am concerned about their safety. Are they safe in rain and snow? what are some of their major safety features? thanks!
A: Rain: No problems, just be aware of the limits of your tires for hydroplaning. With rear wheel drive, the front wheels “Plow” enough water off the road that you can have good rear wheel traction, but begin to hydroplane with the front. You may not be aware of this until a curve. The ESP is helpful.
Snow: I got caught by snow 500 miles from home with the Michelans it came with. Luckily, no big hills and the interstate was mostly just wet. Like someone above said, rear wheel drives are preferred by PDs around here and I have driven big rear wheel drive vehicles in the snow for about 35 years now, including to ski hills. Good tires (Stud-less snow tires) and common sense and it should do fine. I will admit, mine goes in the back of the shop with a dust cover and a battery maintainer between November and March!
Between the posi-track, the ESP, and with the addition of a good snow tire. I would think it would do fine in compact snow, a few inches of powder snow, small drifts. And it should do as well as any similar car on ice.
As far as other safety features, it is 5 star crash rated all around.

What color should I select? And what brand of rims and tires should I select?
A: You shouldn’t be asking any of those questions. It’s all personal preferences. Get what you like is what I’m saying.

A: 1,300 won’t do it for a down payment, you can try. I just bought an SRT8 Challenger. The cost was 47,000. The RT will run you about 38.000. Too bad you didn’t have something to trade as well. It’s a stretch. Good Luck!
Q: does anyone know if i can buy dodge charger exhuast for my 2009 dodge challenger?
i just got my challenger, and i love her, but i need her to be louder, exhuast will fix that but no kits are out, so if i just buy a set of tips for the charger will it fit my challenger (2009)

both are great but the srt trim costs about 10k more than the r/t and the r/t isn’t much slower.
