Q: how can you fix a 1997 Chevrolet camaro when the transmission is slipping?
I have a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro and was wondering when the transmission is slippinf from 2nd to 3rd gear, would this mean I need a new transmission? Or could it be a fault with the computer sensor inside?

A: Mickey is so wrong.
Headers is the highest gaining simple bolt on part for your engine. Easy 15-20 HP gain just from the headers on your ‘92 305. The manifolds are a major choke point
Long tubes will make more power but has more clearance probs with chassis/Kmember and ground.
Shorties works great with better clearance but if doing a custom dual type exhaust, its harder to get/bend/make pipes fit up to them.
I ran about all the common 1-5/8″ dia tube headers on third gens and I say the hooker shorty fits best and on long tubes the hedman long tubes fit the best.
I ran 11.40’s @118 with my 1988 camaro with hooker shorty headers and custom true dual 2.25″ pipes
I now have a diff engine combo and hedman long tubes, dual 3″ pipes and thats a pain to fit under these cars lol. Ground clearance sucks

A: look into car collectors and clubs there is a HUGE camero following. things like special editions and car’s with rare options would go to this group of people.also amature race teams ill take striped base modles with big engines to make into racecars. as far as a base model your looking at males from 22 – 40 are going to be the ones that can buy the car not just want one.

yes, it does have a distributor cap
A: take the distributor cap off and you will see the wires inside the distributor plugged into the module, take wires off and unbolt module and get a new one, put dielectric grease on bottom of new module and install module and plug wires back on.

A: Rk Sport. Or you could always browse some camaro forums for a used one. My bet…You can’t afford a new one, because painting it will cost too much for you, and we really don’t need another car on the road with a primer body kit.

A: From the pix I viewed you’ll probably have more luck with Chevelle Malibu suspension components. What ever you do, upgrade to front disc brakes if you don’t already have them. Making to go fast is easy, making sure you can stop when you have to should be your biggest priority.
