Q: Wanting to change rubber water hose to braided or stainless on a ‘67 Camaro?
I am wanting to put braided or stainless hoses on my ‘67camaro. But before I order, I want to make sure I have the sizes right.

If I’m right, these are special hoses both hoses have a 3/4″ heater core end and a 5/8″ intake end.

Is that correct?

Also, what type of hose clamp do they use?

One more question, what sizes are the upper and lower radiator hoses?

A: If you want to use braided hose on your camaro you can get kits from any were like summit, jegs places like that. They are complete kits with the braided cover that can be worked onto the hose and it will come with everything you will need to put it on the car. I did the same to my 85 camaro Z28. This way if the hose does burst, I can pull the braid off and put it on the new hose. As for stainless you will need this part, or something like it.to put it on your car.

Q: on valve covers on a 67 camaro, are the letters painted a different color? also, what color is the oil cap?

A: every thing chevy orange

Q: Where can i get front fenders for a 67 Camaro SS very cheap?
It is a Super Sport. Need both front fenders

A: all 67 camaro fenders are the same, it doesn’t make any difference if it’s a SS or a regular camaro, your best bet is to buy new ones from goodmark unless you can find them on craigslist or E-bay.

Q: 67 camaro modifications?
I am thinking of getting a 67 camaro, fitted with a 350 ci engine, should i change the suspension, steering..etc? It will be an everyday car with the occational drag races. ( anything with wheels is legal in our roads by the way)
to people like secret santa who doesn’t know the value of cars from the real muscle era, please don’t bother

A: If the org. Camaro had a 6 cyl installed (the 350 was not an option in 1967, 302 or the slower 327 were offered) , you should change the Trans and springs. Everything should be ok. Also, you will need to beef up the rear leaf springs to avoid wheel hop. Enjoy, the 67’s are one of GM’s best.

Q: I am thinking about buying a 67 camaro. I need to know how difficult it is to swap out a I6 for a V8.?
I believe a swap is as simple as nuts and bolts. I also believe the body and frame are the same in all first generation camaro. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thank You…..

A: Every thing is bolt in, go for it! Try year one, for parts and GOOGLE first year Camaro for other source parts.

Q: What is the biggest size rim i could fit on a 67 camaro?
with thoose really skinny tires

A: 19 in the back 18 in the front
thats sickbut just wider in the back

Q: how do i put transitions fluid in my 67 camaro standard 4 speed i cant find the dip stick?

A: That’s because on a manual trans there isn’t one. You need to go under the drivers side of the car at look at the trans. You should see a square plug on the side remove that plug and stick your little finger in the hole. If you pull your finger out and you have lubricant on it then you don’t need to add any to it.

Q: How can you tell the difference between a 67,68,69 camaro? What distinguishing features separate them? ?

A: The differences that come to mind are the tail lights. The ‘67 tail lights look like one unit. On the ’68’s, the tail lights have a chrome like divider that makes it look like a 2 piece. The 69’s look like the tail lights are 3 piece. I’m sure there are other differences, but these are the ones that I know.

Q: 67 camaro for sale question?
Hey I am trying to sell a 67 camaro that was appraised for 23000 but im trying to get 21000 for it…. it is negotiable though. I live in lewisville and I need to get this sold fast I have a child that I need to support. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it sold… Craig’s list just isnt working.

A: Man, too bad you have to let her go!
This is the wrong time to sell your classic. You will have a hard time getting $15,000 for it these days.
You might want to put it on consignment with a hot rod shop or high end car dealer.
Good Luck

I found my 55 Wagon on oldcartrader.com
You can try e-bay, but they charge a bit to sell it there

Q: what is the difference between the 67 camaro ss and rs?

A: The SS came with a big V-8 as standard equipment, SS badges and some suspension mods. The RS was a trim designation that came with hidden headlights, different tail lights, and many times with an optional front racing stripe that went horizontally across the front of the car and down the fenders.

There were other modifications involved but those are the main differences you can spot right away.

Q: Stuff to do with a stock 67 camaro ss.?
I got a 67 camaro ss for christmas. Its old and really beat up…what should be my first thing to work on…obviously transmission and motor but should i swap it all with new stuff or work on the existing stuff…please help me!

p.s. whats the best way to get rid of body cancer…bad body cancer.

A: First of all do all the body work, remove the motor and transmission, next , if there is major rust , like the floor pans order new ones and replace, then on outside body work, like rear quarter panels , buy new ones and replace by MiG welding ever thing in place , do not remove any of the rusted parts until you have the new ones, that way , you know where to cut. lots of luck

Q: Spark plug Tips, gaps, heat range for my 67 Camaro?
Hey, I have a 67 camaro with a newer mild 350 chevy with a mallory distributor. My plugs had carbon buildup, so my heat range i believe is wrong. the guy put 35 in. Too low i believe, if anyone has a good heat range and a the right gap number, i would really appreciate it, also, what brand of plugs work well? Do those “gas saving” ones really do anything?

A: CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU! You own one of the best vintage cars that a man could want! Have you tried the Bosch 4’s? They are preset and give a very good spark. BE WARNED, a person has said they burned a hole in the top of his piston, but, I’m not sure he didn’t have that problem beforehand. I run them in my 69 Chevy PU and 1 of my El Camino’s and I have been more than satisfied!!!! Although they are $50 +/-, my first set lasted two years and are still in that PU. Unfortunately, it is garaged or I would have a better time frame for you. I’m sure they will do you justice!!!!

Q: what is a 67 camaro 350 worth?
i have a 67 camaro 350 rebuilt and i have since put 5000 miles on it. i have it in my 85 chevy c-10. what is the motor worth? and how much can i get for the truck in motor. has a new tranny, clean body great tires, the list goes on

A: Go to NADA (National Automobile Dealers Association) website, put in all of the vehicle information and they will give you 3 values. Trade in Value, Loan Value & Retail Value. You want to pay a price between loan and trad in value. I sold cars for many years. ; ) This website is very simple and will walk you through all of the steps. Click on “consumer” when you get there. Good Luck!
